Fall Meeting Recap & Personal Statement Presentation

First, we would like to thank everyone that came to our first TSDA meeting of the year. The meeting was packed; I didn’t see many open seats in the large auditorium of A&M! Everyone enjoyed popcorn and the raffle was a lot of fun! I have attached the PowerPoint of the first meeting in case you could not make it!

If you are reading this you have found your way to TSDA’s blog! Members of TSDA are encouraged to send blog posts with pictures to eatrighttsda@gmail.com. I would love to hear about experiences like internships, events like FNCE, or even on-campus departmental events. I also would love foodies to send in recipes for the TSDA cookbook posts!

The TSDA officers had a great presentation but I’m sure everyone can agree that the most exciting part of the meeting was our speaker: Mrs. Angela Griffin MS, RDN, LD, our fabulous faculty advisor for TSDA . At the meeting, she shared some great advice on how to tackle the personal statement.

I know everyone took great notes, but we also have the PowerPoint for reference! Dietetic Internship applications and personal statements are due in February, but the best advice I received this weekend at the Texas A&M’s Dietetic Internship Preparation Workshop, is to start early!

You can find the meeting powerpoint here: tsda-first-meeting

You can find the personal statement powerpoint here: tsda-personal-statement

I wish everyone good luck with their Personal Statements!
